The Qoya Warring Faction

pronounced coy-er
full name: Suqoya - sue-coy-er

The waterways, lakes, pools, seas and oceans of Edadh are the domain of the amphibious Qoya warring faction. No-one knows how, but the evil one - Luageth - rules the Qoya and uses them to strike at the other warring factions of Edadh. The Qoya do all they can to avoid open combat and use stealth, cunning and dishonourable means to attack their foes but when drawn out in battle they are by no means incompetent.

Several aquatic species can be found in the Qoya warring faction of different sizes but perhaps the most common are the Osq. The Qoya also employ different amphibious beasts both in and out of the water which provides them with numerous tactical options.

Very little is really known about the Qoya culture apart from their worship of Luageth. Unfortunately for the other warring factions of Edadh their dedication to Luageth binds the Qoya together and fighting between Qoya members has never been observed. The Qoya are known within every country of Edadh and are a constant threat. No waterway, pool, lake, sea or ocean can be travelled without the threat of attack from a Qoya band.

The Qoya work hand in hand with Luageth's deadliest followers - the demons of Edadh, the Fiadrytch (pronounced fear-dritch). Each Fiadrytch is unique and its abilities are unique to it. When in corporal form Fiadrytch construct bodies from numerous different cadavers. Fiadrytch and Qoya know how to animate and control the dead. It is rumoured that many Qoya sacrifice themselves so that they can join the ranks of the soulless where their powers may be superior to their abilities when they were alive.

The Dzaa view the Qoya as unconquerable and the best any warring faction can hope for is to minimise their presence.
