The Eiuchune Warring Faction

pronounced choo-knee
full name: Eiuchune - you-choo-knee

The Chune are the scourge of all other warring factions. Each separate Chune clan is nomadic and strikes from out of the wilds with an earth trembling thunder of hooves and ruthless efficiency. The Chune take full advantage of their speed by adopting predominantly hit and run tactics and using their 'slaves' to bog down the enemy. But the majority of the time the Chune use their unrivaled wildsman abilities to ambush, lay traps and make the wilderness of Edadh a place of death.

The Caeghath (pronounced ky-gath) species make up the Chune warring faction, although there have been sightings of the mysterious Cingath amongst them. The Chune also make slaves out of their enemies - the other warring factions of Edadh - and via an unknown process bind a sentient, parasitic plant to the slaves that thereafter controls that individual. These 'slaves' are fully under the control of the Chune and are used in battle as well as tending to their masters' every whim in their day to day existence.

The Chune range across the entire face of Edadh, strike without warning and depart in the same manner. Little is truly known of their culture as no 'slave' has ever escaped and no Caeghath has deserted their ranks. However, it is apparant that there are thousands of different bands of Chune all acting independentaly from one another but apparently not in competition with each other.

It is known that many Chune Caeghath are able to move undetected and invisibly whether it is day or night. Whole bands have vanished before startled eyes leaving no trace or trail. They are able to animate plants and bring them to life to ensnare and attack their enemies. Many Caeghath have bonded with similar parastic plants to those used upon their 'slaves' and gain preternatural physical abilities as a consequence. Even their 'slaves' have exhibited endurance, strength and agility beyond natural capabilities and in battle are unshakeable.
