The Dzaa warring faction are masters of the battlefield. Their troops are rigorously trained in massed rank combat and together with their superior arms they are fearsome opponents. Their core troops are shown here but they do bolster their ranks with cultural units and so it is common to find Ang, Cerchae and other auxilliaries within their army.

The Standard is a physical symbol of an army unit or the army itself. The Dzaa Standards are great flags that are carried into battle. It is a high honour to be the Standard Bearer.
Battle Masters are the military leaders of the Dzaa. In a battle it is the Battle Masters that organise and motivate the troops and outwit the enemy.
Weapons : Sword
The Dzaa employ only Kes as Swords for their added size and strength. The Swords are heavily armoured and primarily utilised to crush opponent infantry.
Weapons : Spear
The Spears are versatile infantry, best deployed in blocks of troops. They can fend off cavalry or allow troops in the 2nd rank to attack the enemy. Qai are employed as Spears and are not as heavily armoured as Swords.
Weapons : Blunderbuss, Sword & Dagger
The blunderbuss is effective at short range - during the charge. A specialist troop, blunderbusses often augment and support other troops rather than form units of their own.
Weapons : Musket & Sword
The Dzaa Gunners are all Qai for their night vision allows them to be as effective at night as during the day. Without shields and not heavily armoured they are more vulnerable at Melee but their muskets can penetrate shields at short range.
Weapons : Spear
The size and strength of the Kes are used as cavalry to augment their impact after a charge. But they must be used wisely for if placed on the wrong terrain they are ineffective and formations of spears can counter them.
Weapons : Rifle, Pistol & Sword
Quick, agile & armed with shield piercing rifles, Dzaa Scouts form the army's vanguard to gain terrain to their advantage.
Weapons : Longspear
Although the longspear requires two hands and so shields can't be used, Longspears can attack the enemy from the 3rd or 4th ranks and are very effective against mounted foes.
Weapons : Great Sword
Heavily, fully armoured, the Great Swords are used to cut through dense ranks and negate spears by slashing the heads from the shafts.
Weapons : Heavy Gun, Sword & Dagger
Heavy Gunners augment regular Gunners with weapons capable of punching through shields, armour and ranks of opponents.
Weapons : Grenade Launchers, Grenades, Sword & Dagger
Like the Heavy Gunners, the Grenadiers augment other troops and use their grenades to blow apart dense ranks of troops.
Weapons : Carbine & Spear
The Dzaa Light Cavalry are effective at pinning enemy infantry down and hounding enemy heavy cavalry - versatile troop.
Weapons : Spear
When the Dzaa need a bit more punch they call on their Heavy Cavalry. Fully armoured, the Heavy Cavalry are awesome shock troops.
Weapons : Blunderbuss & Spear
Mega Cavalry carry five soldiers on their broad backs armed with blunderbuss & spears. Awesome against lesser troops they have to be used at the right time as they are vulnerable to ranged fire.
Weapons : Carbine & Spear
The Dzaa dominate the skies and a large portion of their success is down to their Aerial Cavalry - lightly armoured but able to strike with their carbines from range.
Weapons : Pistol & Sword
The Heavy Aerial are used to strike at enemy formations from short range and dive amongst them to break them apart.
Weapons : Blunderbuss & Spear
Dzaa Mega Cavalry can turn the tide of a battle but their giant frames make them easy targets!
Weapons : Carbine, Pistol & Sword
Mounted Scouts are lightly armoured & skilled wildsmen. They accompany the Scouts to hold the flanks and obtain terrain advantage.
Weapons : Sword & Warhounds
The Warbeasts of the Dzaa are armoured and trained killers. Let loose amongst enemy formations they can be lethal.
Weapons : Sword & Warbirds
Like Warhounds, the Dzaa Warbirds are armoured and are used to strike at an enemy's flank or rear whilst other Dzaa troops attack from the front.
